Our philosophy
At Marianum we seek to administer comprehensive health-care services with heart and soul. This philosophy governs our approach to every medical consultation.
While regular consultations are often too short to allow adequate time or space for soul-searching, our doctors make themselves available outside of consultation times to discuss philosophical or existential matters with patients. Self-evidently we are not priests. However, if requested, we are happy to mediate a meeting with a priest from one of the local congregations.
In Autumn 2008 we opened a specially designated room in which our patients and staff can find space for quiet contemplation and reflection. The room is also used for seminars and round-table discussions on topics of medical, religious and philosophical importance as well as life-skills.
